Communications and marketing manager needed for a growing Austin, Texas-based healthcare strategic communications firm.

The ideal candidate is motivated by managing content creation and effectiveness for fully integrated campaigns and working with healthcare clients to achieve their goals, which range from growing patient volume to enhancing reputation and achieving policy objectives. It also involves working with the team to manage critical communications during a crisis. The manager is expected to take a proactive role in working collaboratively to plan and devise campaigns with the ability to develop content and work with designers and videographers to reach audiences through a variety of digital and traditional channels.

The manager understands how to drive brand awareness by being involved in all stages of the communications and marketing process from conceptualizing and creating messages to launching through various channels and measuring outcomes.

Experience in healthcare marketing and/or communications is recommended.

Candidates should have exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage time and variety of deadlines. He or she will be comfortable working under tight deadlines and in collaboration with senior leadership. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in shaping the way our company is perceived by key audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Work with firm’s partners to create marketing and communications strategy for our clients
  • Create and manage content while ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables
  • Create project timelines and work with other members of the team to meet deadlines
  • Produce and/ or coordinate the production of promotional materials including copy, press releases, collateral, web pages, and presentations
  • Use digital media to tell our clients’ stories in creative and inspiring ways that resonate with various audiences
  • Manage website content and design to ensure delivery of clear messages
  • Develop and maintain external vendor relationships when necessary
  • Manage digital ad placements, identifying appropriate audiences, channels, and budgets, and monitor effectiveness and KPIs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Marketing, Business, or Journalism.
  • Extensive writing experience.
  • Experience in communications operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience posting and formatting content using a WordPress Content Management System
  • Experience using and managing organic content on social media channels.
  • Experience managing and working in Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads Facebook Ads, and Twitter Ads.
